Loher elevator inverters of the DYNAVERT L06 line guarantee top reliability and riding comfort. Depending on the specifications they can be used for line voltage ranging from 230 V to 500 V, in combination with synchronous or asynchronous motors.

DYNAVERT L devices are modern, fully digitalised inverters with voltage-controlled intermediate circuit, efficient and convenient up to 100 kW elevator performance equipped with IGBT’s in the forth generation. The inverter may be used in any environment without any problem, even in hospitals and chemical production plants.

Today, elevator drives are designed either as gearless systems or as geared ones. The decision about which type will be installed depends on the intended use of the respective elevator. Therefore, Loher DYNAVERT L enables both systems – the DYNASYS S for gearless and the DYNASYS G for the geared types.

The completely new designed electronic control system in dual- processor technology covers a wide range of applications. With DYNAVERT L06 it is possible to run asynchronous motors as well as synchronous ones by menu-setting only.

Beyond that, Loher takes also the system-responsibility for the selection of the components and for rating as per current standard DIN EN 81-1.

Field-proven synchronous permanent-magnet motors are used for driving. The motors are of the low-noise type and optimized for operation with frequency inverters.

System description and scope of supplyThe brakes with EC type-examination certificate by TÜV are redundant and of low-noise design. They act directly on the shaft of the traction sheave. Thus, the brakes prevent also an uncontrolled motion of the car with overspeed in upward direction, as required by standard DIN EN 81-1.

Gearless internal-rotor systems of type series SVM 250

Product descriptionThe elevator motors of type series SVM 250 are 18-pole permanent-magnet synchronous motors with internal rotor. The type series consists of 3 different case lengths with identic diameter and 6 steps of torque. For each step 8 types of windings are available. Thus, rated-load torques up to 1250 Nm can be achieved in continuous operation.

Dependent from the selected traction sheave and the type of winding, elevator speed ranges of up to 3.5 m/s can be achieved. With a maximum torque of 2.5 x the rated-load torques, sufficient reserves for acceleration are available. For the identification of speed and rotor position a high-grade encoder with 2048 sine-cosine periods is used.

Types of traction sheavesWith an effective diameter of 320 mm – 610 mm and various sizes of rim width, very different requirements can be fulfilled even if traction rope data and wrap angle are predefined.

Drive brakesPreferably extremely silent brakes of type ROBA-stop®-silenzio® – make Mayr – are used to stop the drive system. This type is composed of two individual brakes. Because of that it is possible to excite each individual coil to test the dual-circuit function of each one separately (for instance, important in case of machineroomless applications).

As an option, the ROBA-stop-silenzio brake can be provided with a mechanical manual brake lifting device. The brakes are approved as safety components by EC type-examination certificate. Thus, the demand of DIN EN 81-1 for to prevent overspeed of the upward moving car is fulfilled.

Field-proven elevator brake motors of type series UB (G,L,H) A are used for driving. These are of low-noise design and optimized for operation with frequency inverters. For the standard type series 50 Hz-motors with synchronous speed 1500 min-1 are used.The dual-circuit disk brake with manual brake lifting – type tested by TÜV – is of the low-noise type and is arranged at the B-side of the motor together with the speed encoder and the handwheel. The gears of type series DYNASYS G are of the two-stage helical-worm type. Depending on the ratio an efficiency factor of up to 92 % can be achieved by this technology. The forces applying at the traction sheave are transferred to the base frame via a two-point support. A torque-arm is effective in this frame also and takes primarily the effects of the occurring dynamic forces.

System description and scope of supplyThe traction sheave bearings are factory-mounted and aligned on the base frame included in the supply, forming a two-point support. An additional torque-arm minimizes the bending stress of the traction sheave shaft. The compact design of the gear enables e.g. the installation of the gear even in a wall recess, with gear shaft and traction sheave projecting into the elevator shaft.

The rope tensile forces may act at the perimeter of the traction sheave in any direction, so that various mounting positions are possible. The forces, however, shall be led via the base frame into the foundation. Vertical motor arrangements are possible.

Retrofit – flexible & uncomplicated

The system enables the quick retrofitting of existent two-speed elevators for operation with frequency inverter

while the old relay control is kept. The idea of installing the retrofit package may come up either after a motor

breakdown or by the desire for a low-cost upgrade of the elevator with the old motor still in use.

The retrofit package includes alsoSingle-speed motors from the field-proven LUGA series, foot-mounted type, which are also available from stock. The motors are provided with plastic handwheel and speed encoder at NDE. Thus it is possible to change over quickly to an energy saving, inverter-controlled drive system. Owing to the possibility of running the Loher Dynavert L inverter in the field-weakening range of the motor, the motors with universal coil can be used for operation in networks up to 500 V and operating speed of 850 min-1 to 1600 min-1. For the lower car speed ranges up to about v = 1.2 m/soperation is possible also without speed encoder.
