1) A higher proportion of overall IT budget is being invested in testing…

QA budgets are still largely spent in infrastructure

The average spending on QA as a percentage of the total IT budget has grown from 18% in 2012 to 23% in 2013. It is forecasted to reach 28% of IT budgets in 2015.

Proportion of Testing budgets allocated to transformational projects grew to 46% up from 41% last year. Testing of existing

applications can be performed more efficiently and at lower costs using automation tools and reusable assets

By 2015, the number of applications migrated or hosted in the Cloud is predicted to increase from 20% in 2013 to 26% where 32% of Testing is expected to be performed in the Cloud.
