DESCRIPTION
Indoor Air Quality has emerged as a risk to public health. The increase of chemicals and synthetic materials in our homes and work places coupled with today’s tighter, more insulated buildings have created more potential hazards. Through New Science, we are creating new testing methods, new insights and new equipment that help to minimize and mitigate the adverse effects of indoor air. We are developing technologies to address rapidly changing societal, environmental and health needs. UL is providing manufacturers, built environment professionals and consumers with research-based recommendations and information to help reformulate products, select safe materials and make informed decisions. http://www.ul.com/indoorairquality
