ABOUT THE COMPANY.

William Grant & Sons approached us to build an

Employer Brand that positioned the company in

a fresh and contemporary way. The outcome

was to inspire the best people available

to join the company.

With sites across the world (including the UK,

the US, China, Australia and Russia) this was

a truly global task.

Following a brand workshop, we based the new

brand on two truths: the uniqueness of the culture

and people, and the strong character of the founder.

Our concept was: WILLIAM GRANT & SONS.

A RARE CHARACTER.

A global careers website was created - all global

jobs are now posted here. Recruitment Agency

collateral and advertising has also been created,

and internal communication projects are in progress.

Stirling Associates is working with Adrok to help build

their profile in Australia and North America through a

targeted PR campaign. We have secured coverage in key

industry publications across the globe as well as building

Adrok’s profile locally as a growing Scottish business.

Following a brand audit, our creative team is

currently working on refreshing the look and feel of

Adrok’s marketing including the website, advertising,

sales collateral and a stunning new CGI film.

Adrok are the creators of a deep sub-surface scanner

which is set to change the way the oil and gas and

mining exploration industries discover essential world

resources. It offers a greener, faster, cheaper way to

explore what lies beneath the earth’s floor.

The Million for a Morgue CAMPAIGN WILL HELP THE UNIVERSITY OF DUNDEE RAISE 1 MILLION TO BUILD A WORLD LEADING FORENSIC CENTRE. WE ARE TEAMING UP WITH SOME OF THE TOP CRIME WRITERS TO RAISE FUNDS AND AWARENESS.

TASK: TAKE A TABOO TOPIC AND MAKE IT ENGAGING,

RELEVANT AND INTERESTING TO THE PUBLIC THROUGH

AN AWARENESS AND FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN.

CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT. FUNDING.

WE THINK: GETTING THE TONE OF THE BRAND DESIGN AND

NARRATIVE RIGHT CAN TAKE A CAMPAIGN TO NEW LEVELS.

We were approached by The Centre for Anatomy

and Human Identification (CAHID) at the University of

Dundee, a world-leading forensic science centre, to

help them create a campaign to raise £1M towards a

state-of-the-art mortuary. A tricky subject to get into

the public’s heart!

Lead by Professor Sue Black (of BBC Cold Case

Histories fame), the ‘Million For A Morgue’ campaign

used her links to crime writers, who often use advice

from forensics experts to make their books more

believable, to give the campaign a wider audience.

Stirling Associates designed a logo and website

which would not look out of place on the crime

fiction book shelves.

We also advised on using social media and PR

to raise awareness of the campaign and build

on the momentum of the campaign as well as

merchandising options to help raise funds.

the Adventure Philanthropy concept whilst putting

Stirling Associates has worked with Hollywood and

LA-based Storyteller Films for well over ten years.

During this time we have taken them from start-up,

to an established and successful brand. Constantly

refreshing their offering to keep ahead of the game

in an industry that is fast moving and fickle.

We work closely with the Storyteller Team to create

a range of marketing material that successfully

promotes their films to the global film industry at

Film Festivals such as Sundance and Cannes.

And where possible, we help them achieve

their funding targets.

Storyteller produces films that can be made for

between $10 and $20 Million. Their films include

‘Kicks’ - a love affair between Elizabeth Barrett and

Robert Browning with Diane Keaton, and ‘Words of

Love’ - a comedy where three friends escape New

York to star in a Las Vegas Show with Brian Cox.

To solve the needs of Alliance, we brought

together a unique team of problem-solvers

expert in technology, strategy, systems

analysis and design.

During our long-term partnership with the

Alliance, we have delivered a range of

communication and technological solutions

that have simplified processes, reduced costs

and cut admin for the registration and awarding

of hundreds of thousands of Apprenticeships.

Due to our success in Scotland, we rolled-out

this technology across the UK, saving all these

skills organisations time and money.

The continuing evolution of our solution and

its reporting is enabling Government and

major UK employers to forward plan their

skills requirements.

TASK: TO CREATE A LUXURY BRAND FOR HIGH

WE THINK: WHAT’S IN A NAME? EVERYTHING. QUALITY

OF THOUGHT MUST START FROM THE VERY FIRST WORD.

William Grant & Sons wanted to create its own MBA

programme to further develop their own executives,

as well offering other handpicked businesses the

opportunity to take part.

From the initial strategy of the programme to

the launch event, we built and implemented an

aspirational brand that reflected the premium nature

of our clients business.

We named and created an identity for the MBA25

brand - persuading our client that limiting the

delegates to a handpicked 25 increased the

desirability of the programme.

This was then applied to all marketing material,

including a premium brochure and luxury

presentation box. We branded and managed a

launch dinner at their Glenfiddich Distillery and

also implemented a targeted PR campaign,

culminating in coverage in the FT.

The inaugural MBA25 programme successfully

launched with delegates from across the globe,

including China and the United States.
