• Attended 11 trade showsABA Marketplace, NECVB Reps event at MIT/Boston, local Executive Women Golf Association (EWGA) event/marketplace, National Association of Sports Commissions (NASC) Symposium, DONYS Group Travel Trade Show, AIBTM Trade Show, ESSAE Trade Show, Connect Marketplace, Rejuvenate Marketplace, Small Business Administration trade show, NYC Sales Exchange for group tour receptive operators.

This activity requires advance homework, to determine who you want to meet with, actual travel, follow-up, lead/referral distribution, more follow-up!

SALES Continued • Nominated 2 Events for American Bus Association Top 100 Events: 65th Annual Tulip Festival, May 10-12, 2013 WON!

• Hosted 4 sales/client recognition events – Third party meeting planning contacts (9 attendees), Capital District Upstate New York Professionals LinkedIn Group at Albany Visitors Center (17 attendees), Capital Region LinkedIn Group members at the Albany Pump Station (75 attendees) and the Hospitality Marketplace at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (23 Bureau Members/Partners).

• Presented Best Practices Webinar to National Association of Sports Commissions (NASC) members with Rhode Island Sports Commission and Gulf Shore Sports Commission, 68 participants.

• Produced and distributed winter Courier group tour newsletter to 700+ US, Canadian and international tour company planners.

• Developed and launched Meet In Albany, NY Facebook page. 70 friends, as many as 229 reading specific posts.

• Ambassador program-annual meeting, among others.

• New sales/services department staff: Charlie Hewitt now Sales Manager, Jamie Breedlove new Convention Sales Assistant.

• Assistance with office wide initiatives: new CRM, annual Visitors Guide, annual report

SERVICES

• Business activities for all clients including monthly Frontline, welcome poster distribution, member referrals, welcome bags, volunteers, visitor guides, services staffing, airport banners, and more.

• Produced and distributed 11 Frontline e-news that included member videos produced by staff for Irish A New England Nanny, Panera Bread, American Heritage Museum, NYS Museum, Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center, SCCC, Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center, ACCVB Sales & Services Department, Dutch Apple Cruises, Goold Orchards and Saratoga Casino and Raceway and uploaded to ACCVB YouTube channel. • Created and maintained 28 Albany website templates for: “Welcome to Albany” generic template (concierge included), Albacon, America East Basketball, BoucherCon, Empire State Tourism Conference, FantaCon, FASNY, Federation of Basketball Tournament of Champions, ICEGOV, League for the Advancement of New England Storytelling (LANES), Mohawk-Hudson River Marathon, NELLCO, NYS Assn of Magistrates Court Clerks, NYS Bar Exam, NYS Division of Homeland Security, NYS Parking Association, NYSPHSAA Wrestling (concierge included), Somos El Futuro, USTA Eastern (concierge included) among others.

• Extensive client servicing for NYSPHSAA Wrestling Tournament, NYS Federation Basketball Tournament, VFW Annual Conference, Tekakwitha Conference, IceGov. • Coordinated Voluntourism effort for NYS Parking Association with Mohawk Hudson Humane Society which resulted in walk, media coverage and a check in the amount of $1000.

• 2013 Preconference marketing/attendance at 2012 conferences: FASNY in Syracuse (3 year contract deal for The Desmond, 2400 room nights); NYAPT in Saratoga (4 year contract deal for Hotel Albany, 2200 room nights per year, 4 board meetings booked Hotel Albany and Hampton Inn DT), NYS Aviation Management Association in Niagara Falls and BoucherCon in Cleveland, OH. • Coordinated Volunteer Recognition event for 35 volunteers at The Joe with Tri-City Valley Cats with tee shirts, awards, food and fellowship.

• Send out traffic advisories on behalf of Albany Traffic Engineering.

FILM COMMISSION

• UAlbany Initiative – SCREENS – An upstate New York film Venture, working with UAlbany staff to coordinate May 3 event that features Craig Hatkoff with Tribeca Film Festival -- Deb Goedeke featured panelist. Deb Goedeke will be part of the LOC for the 2014 SCREENS that will be held at UAlbany.

• “The Challenger” - Wishing Well Pictures – coordinated sleeping rooms, 127 room nights, and assisted with boxing shoot promotion at the TUC.

• HBO Movie – Muhammed Ali – worked with HBO on logistics for May10-11 shoot and provided Albany resources to HBO; prepared press release for distribution and will drop on May 9. Shooting in front of NYS Education Building, back of Court of Appeals parking lot and bus terminal…500 sleeping rooms utilized, 70 local extras, and other services will be utilized.

• Ballin in the Graveyard, documentary working with Keith Pickard, Spectrum Theatre to garner national attention.

• Coordinating community services for the following film shoots and production promotional efforts: “Little Brother”, “Cold I Am”, “Hotel Hell”, History Channel, General Electric (157 room nights), “Rules of the Game”, “The Company You Keep”, HBO movie “Muhammed Ali” (500 room nights), Italian Fashion Designer, Frank Trotta TV series, History Detectives, Marilyn Monroe Documentary, Anthony Giunta feature film, Digital magic Entertainment, Lightbox Libraries, Fleischman Co, Impulse TV Honda commercial, Indy film shoot, referrals on warehouse locations for shoot, sent movie lead to Hilltown Association, referred Livingston School, Tobin’s First Prize and New York Power Pool control center as location options, assisted History Channel (2) with location options; referred local VW vintage car options to German Film Company, TV Pilot starring Kevin Bacon; Governor’s Film Office, post production facilities in area; My First Home, TV series on Discover Channel; Running Man Entertainment, airport footage; Think Factory Media seeking Mennonite Communities in region; Place Beyond the Pines residual referrals for small college campus, bridges/tunnels; Japanese Car Commercial; Downtown Albany BID video release, Fox 23 News interview, Bumpin Uglies, The Impact Show, Knocked Up web series, First Niagara Bank, Hidden America/Beyond Productions, Fuji Film, Crown Royal, Grazing Miss Albany, Zazou Productions, Seane Beebe/Heart Foundation, among others. • Other film activities include: writing Albany Film Commission blog (stopped due to more activity on FB, Facebook posting Albany Film 3-4x per week. Twitter daily with regard to filming and other Film Commission activities. FilmAlbany website and Facebook completely revamped with ACCVB Marketing Dept.

• Joined Advisory Committee for New School of Radio & TV located in Albany.

• Ongoing promotions/outreach: UAlbany Initiative: SCREENS; Carey Center Film Forum, Upstate Independents, Capital District Film Collaborative and partnering with New York Production Alliance out of NYC with regard to resources.

SPORTS FOUNDATION

• Planned NYSPHSAA Wrestling Reception, including site visit, coordination of attendees, set-up, on-site assistance, and payment.

• Coordinated Bracket Breakfast invitations, sponsors, ticket sales, and administrative work and on-site assistance for the event.

• Worked with Ed Lewi Associates & LCS&Z in preparation and follow-up for Scholar Athlete Awards, including: distribution of sponsor invoices, collection and deposit of sponsor payments, communications with Board of Directors to solicit additional money, creation of Sports Foundation PayPal Account to collect attendee payment, creation of EventBrite page to collect Board Payment.

• Updated www.albanynysports.com with new graphics, event info.

• Ongoing social networking efforts that include: Twitter, Facebook

Looking Ahead to 2013NY Association for Pupil Transportation Annual Conference & Expo• July 11-17, 2013• People involved in any sort of Pupil Transportation from school districts throughout the state• 450 attendees, 1400 rooms nights• Hotel Albany, Times Union Center, downtown overflow hotels• This organization signed a four year agreement to come to Albany 2013-2016

Pop Warner Eastern Region Cheer and Dance Championships• November 15-17• Cheer and Dance groups from 6 states along the East Coast• 12000 attendees, 3400 room nights• Times Union Center, citywide hotels• This organization signed a three year agreement to come to Albany 2013-2015
