Sound effects and Free Sound Effects what’s their difference?

Have you noticed the footstep sound in the movie you are watching? How about the crumpling bag of potato chips in the commercial or the flapping bird wings in the radio show? Sound effects have made important media productions

meaningful and realistic. Without them, the movies or the radio shows you’re listening to won’t be convincing or the commercial will be so boring.

What are sound effects?

Sound effects are sounds that are artificially made. They may be isolated sounds, a background ambience or can be special effects. With good resonance effects they can make any project more professional and successful.

There are endless numbers of resonance effects available ranging from car horns and telephone rings, doorbells, fantasy and science fiction FX and musical accents, specialty sounds like comedy, and longer background ambience like a thunderstorm, a church, a train station, courtroom, or a jungle.

What are the different types of sound effects?

• Design type. These effects are those that are impossible to happen in the real scenario. They are

used to display advanced technology in any film such as Sci-Fi or may be utilized in a musical show to foster heavy emotional setting.

• Background. These types are the one that are not directly coordinated with the scene, but

suggest setting to the listener or audience. For instance, the sound of busy cars and the effect of a fluorescent light being turned on.

• Hard. This type is the one that is really seen in the setting. They are loud and violent noises

including gunfire, punches and door slams.

• Foley. This kind is entirely synchronized with the setting. They can be recorded with the help of

the foley artist.

The sound background are mostly used in films, live performances, animated films, TV programs, commercials, video games, theater, podcast, websites, physical products and music videos.
