• Equity promotion

1. Employment Development

Social Entrepreneurs treat entrepreneurs and business alike. Social entrepreneurship

creates employment like adoption of Mohamed Yunus Grameen Bank concept to Self

Help Group and Micro finance in Banking service sector and Cooperative movement like

Anand Milk Union Limited (AMUL), use of Self Help Group (SHG) resources by Multi

National Companies (MNCs) like Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) in their supply

chain network in remote areas. This provides employment to downtrodden and improves

the quality of life which is a function of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

2. Innovation of New Goods and services:

Social enterprises apply innovations of goods and services that promote social economic

development like the coding system of “dubbavals” supply chain systems of Mumbai

who not only form and frame system but educates and standardize the system.

3. Social Capital

Social capital is otherwise called as the durable network of relationship of mutual

acquaintance and recognition and long term relationship. It promotes ethics in work

culture that will nurture team work and cooperation, sustainable human capital for

economic and industrial development.

Adopted from “The Virtuous cycle of social capital (Leadbeater,1997, p.68)

4. Equity Promotion

Social entrepreneurship considers resources at equal poise and promotes equitable society

for sustainable development and profit maximization on ethical grounds. To quote an

example: The reservation policies of women participation in parliament to minimize

gender discrimination.

that fosters equitable society, promotes sustainable development of human power and a
