What is the Texas Campus STaR Chart?The Texas Campus STaR Chart is a tool designed to:

•Aid in establishing a budget for resources

•Evaluates the progress of technology in the campus

•Evaluates the progress of technology in accordance to the Texas Long Range Plan for Technology

• Serve as a summative information tool to plan on growth

What is the Texas Teacher STaR Chart?The Texas Teacher STaR Chart:

•Helps determine the progress of teachers, campus, and districts in meeting their goals for the TLRPT

• Is REQUIRED by state law to be taken every year

• Used by educators to gauge their individual progress in implementing technology in the school

• The strongest points are in the Content Area Connections, TEKS Application/Implementation standards.

• However, as a campus we must improve on the Patterns of Classroom use, Student Improvement Apps., and the use of frequent Online Learning tools.

III. Leadership, Administration and Instructional Support: •The support goes provided beyond campus (district). District Technology Integration Specialist assists campus w/ planning and integration.

•The school district’s Technology Department has set the visions, and allocated budget for technology. Need to adapt same vision to campus.

II. Educator Preparation and Development:•Due to policies during the year of limited staff development, our numbers decreased.

•However, opportunities for staff development in technology are offered during the summer. Other suggestion would include team planning and collaborative work.

TARGET TECH GOALSDescriptions The teacher serves

as facilitator and co-learner. Students have on-demand access to all appropriate technologies to complete activities that have been seamlessly integrated into all core content area.

There are regular technology supported learner-centered projects. There is vertical alignment of Technology Application TEKS and anytime, anywhere use of online resources. 100% of educators meet SBEC Standards.

Campus plan focused on student success, supported by board and administration. There is only one technical support to 350 computers. Campus instructional support staff.

There is on-demand access for every student, direct connectivity available in all rooms and web-based resources in multiple rooms. All rooms are connected to WAN. They are fully equipped w/ appropriate technology.
