Ensure that you use a photo that demonstrates the dignity and professionalism of your status and business.

Use a clear, professionally taken head shot

If you are a children’s entertainer or a clown, you might use a profile that exhibits who you are.

Do not have a picture with sunglasses, hoodie or taken with a busy background that would detract from your headshot.

Avoid provocative looks or bedroom eyes unless your LinkedIn profile is to advertise your are in the adult entertainment industry.

How do you do that?

Research your keywords for your industry

Check out what your competitors are targeting in keywords

Your have one chance for a first impression, this is where your summary remains

one of the most important areas of your LinkedIn profile. It’s the first thing

people will read, does it tell “your story”?

Less is more – Write about you in 10 seconds

Include a “Call to Action” at the end of your summary

DISCIPLINE – It is all to easy to get distracted, that is where you need

structure & time limits in place to keep you focused on your goals. Use

curation tools on the internet & apps on your phone to source shareable

information in your field of expertise.

FOCUS – Fans | Followers on social media will “almost” never convert into a

paying customer. This is where you need to focus on the right social media

platform the drives the right kind of traffic, traffic that will convert. Dig into your

website data and focus your updates & information to that audience.

STRATEGY – Do you have a social media calendar, excel sheet or template

where you organise all your updates | images | infographics & blogs?

Do you have a content calendar for your articles and who you will be contacting

through the year? Do you know when your audience is active online?
