Advantages and Disadvantages

Confidential Information 7

Advantages Disadvantages

Enhanced classroom management and student learning

More student engagement with the material (helps ADHD students)

Repetitive vocabulary helps ESL students

Self assessment lets students know how they are doing

Combines weekly structure without being mundane or overtly repetitive

Chunks up material allowing for easier learning and retention of material.

Costs (lots of copy paper and a working copier needed)

Must watch for students merely copying others

Only supplemental material By no means replaces the

need for an outstanding teacher in the classroom

Not effective if teacher doesn’t embrace the material

Material may be too easy for some students
