FarmingThe AchievementFarming was an amassing achievement for stone age people. Farming was probably discovered by nomads that dropped seeds from their food in the soil. Later when they went to that back to that place there was a sprout where the seed fell. Eventually they learned how to plant the seeds in the soil to make corn and other crops to eat or make other food.

The BenefitsFarming was very beneficial to nomads. It meant that they could stop being nomads and start living in a community. Farming also gave them a reliable source of food instead of worrying about going hunting and gathering for their food. It also meant they could eventually trade their surpluses for other things that they might need or want.

Importance of developmentIf the stone age people did not discover how to farm then we would not be as advanced as we are today. We would not be living in houses in a town. We would also still have to go hunting and gathering for our food. They wouldn’t have started trading and they wouldn’t have people starting to specialize in certain jobs.

This is bread that was made from the crops they grew.

Tool MakingThe Achievement Tool making was a very helpful achievement. Tools were made in different ways. Some tools were made by banging a harder rock against the rock or stone that they were using to make the tool into the shape and size that they want. After the rock was the shape that they wanted it to be they would polish the stone for two to three days. If they needed to put a hole on the tool then they would use a wet and hollow elder branch with sand on the bottom and then they would turn it. Another thing that they might do to their tools is attaching it to wood. They would use glue to stick the rock to the wood.

The BenefitsTool making was a very beneficial achievement for the stone age people. It helped early people do things much easier. They used to use their hands and jaws to do the things, farming, hunting, fishing, opening nut shells or other hard shells they needed to open.

The Importance of the AchievementThe learning of tool making was very important. It gave us the chance to improve our tools and technology for the future. If the stone age people didn’t figure out how to make tools then we would still be using our hands and jaws as our only tools.
