Industry: Manufacturing

Demographics for the Manufacturing industry show a higher proportion of male workers, and raise concerns about an aging workforce. The following is a compilation of relevant data for the Manufacturing industry by the Integrated Benefits Institute, a non-profit supplier of and leader in health and productivity research.1

• Employees in Technology enjoy the highest wages of all groups. Overall, there is low incidence of long-term disability claims and very low work-related accidents. Technology:Some Productive Suggestions

• Since Workers’ Compensation claim incidence is relatively low, evaluate return-to-work options based on your specific work environment.

• Work-from-home options may prove beneficial depending on your work environment. However, work-from-home arrangements may not be feasible for banks and other institutions that require the employee to be present in the workplace to perform his or her job.
