LET’S START WITH A STORY…

The other day, my daughter informed me that she was done with school. You can imagine my surprise hearing this from a straight-A student sophomore at a private Catholic High school. Especially because she is still 3 years away from completing her diploma. You can then understand my worry and concern, seeing that I would like to succeed in anything she does, and have the chance to do anything she wants to do. So I sat down and talked to her. I found out that she wants more fun and more respect from her elders. Don’t we all?! I took her remarks to heart, and together we build a strategy that would get her back on track, and I can see her being happier and more motivated since.

PLEASE EXCUSE ALL THAT TEXT…

What am I trying to tell you with that story? Your employees are like children…

If something doesn’t go well, or they don’t feel accepted and appreciated, they are unhappy and likely to give up. They also need your support and sometimes a little push to stay focused and motivated.
