ORIGIN "ALMACENES ÉXITO"

Success Group is a leading retail business in Colombia with 8.7 billion of operating income to December 2011 , in Colombia and Uruguay . In March 2012, it has 418 outlets including hypermarkets , supermarkets , discount stores and specialty shops , distributed as follows are : Success in Colombia 200 stores , 75 Carulla , 84 Surtimax and 7 others. In Uruguay it has 52 points of sale and 24 Devoto, Disco and January 27 Geant . Currently, the French conglomerate Casino Group is the majority shareholder . Its main competitor in Colombia is the Chilean Cencosud with Jumbo stores , Easy and Metro .

Success group belongs to a lot of owners who are : The French group Casino. It is the largest shareholder and holds 56.10 % of the shares , after a hammer held in the Colombia Stock Exchange , where the French company acquired the shares held by the Toro family, the founders of Almacenes Exito .

Manufacturers, the most representative economic union of the Colombian acronym productive platform. Now it called National Association of Colombia.
