Prior to commencement of ship-ment of fabricated steel to the site, the OMD team deputes a Project Engineer to assist the erection team in providing on site service to Delta’s clients.

The project engineer makes fre-quent site visits through this phase of the project and communicates client needs to the OMD engineer ensuring efficient and timely re-sponse.

Heavy Structural FabricationDelta has the uniqueness of expanding its work beyond steel Buildings and undertaking fab-rication work for various struc-tural steel projects. Primary FramingPrimary frames are designed in accordance with the steel construction manual published by American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). Manufactur-ing dimensional tolerances are in accordance with the requirements of ‘Metal Building Manufactures Association’ (MBMA) of USA, “Low Rise Building Systems Manual”. Besides AISC and MBMA, we also design buildings with IS-875, 1984 and IS-875, 2007.

Built-up sections are fabricated from hot rolled steel plates con-firming to ASTM A 572M grade or equivalent with a minimum yield strength of 345N/mm2 (50ksi).

The most common primary framing systems are illustrated here. All structures shown are symmetrical about the ridge line. Framing systems unsymmetrical about the ridge line and Multispan Framing Systems with unequal width modules are possible too.

Practically any frame geometry can be erected.

Secondary FramingSecondary structural framing refers to C sections and Z sections, Grits, Eave struts, Wind bracing, Flange bracing, Base angles, Clips and other miscellaneous structural parts.

Standard C & Z secitons and Grits are roll-formed Z- sections with 64 mm flanges 200 mm deep.

Eave struts are 200 mm deep with 100 mm wide top flange. Cold-formed members are designed in accordance with the American Iron Steel Institute (AISI).

SheetingRoof and wall panels are roll- formed sections for 0.45 mm to 0.5 mm thick Aluzinc color coated steel. Standard roof panels are made from bare Aluzinc coated steel. Panel paint film thickness is 25 microns on the exterior weather face and 5-7 microns of PU compatible epoxy primer on the interior face. Marketing and Sales

Delta steel structures has an experienced marketing and sales team that is exceptionally talented, dedicated and objective oriented. Having customer satisfaction as their top priority, the sales team identifies the customer’s needs & requirements and responds to them professionally, systematically and on time. The Marketing Department forms a vital bridge enabling Delta to understand and cater to the ever changing market needs. The team also looks after activities such as brand development, market research and feasibility studies, selecting and channelizing marketing activities through media, public relations activities and organizing, seminars, etc. In order to accomplish the company’s vision & goals.

Order Management Department (OMD)

The order Management team has placed customer’s satisfaction at the heart of the business. The OMD has the responsibility of monitoring and controlling all ongoing projects to ensure their successful completion. To achieve the desired outcome on every project, the order management Department relies on a team of experienced engineers and professionals throughout all phases of the project, namely – Planning, execution, Delivery and Erection.

Planning

Upon award of a project to Delta, The Manager (OMD) assigns an OMD Engineer to handle all technical and commercial aspects associated with the project from inception to completion. At the outset of the project, the OMD Engineer prepares a base schedule defining all milestones and activities and identifies major subcontractors and special requirements taking into consideration the size and complexity of the project.

Execution

OMD communicates the project requirements to all other concerned departments within Delta such as purchasing. Engineering (Designing & Estimation, Detailing), Manufacturing and Accounting. Throughout the execution phase, the OMD engineer proactively monitors, controls and reports the progress of the project and any association variations to the client at regular intervals.
