OUR VISION IS POSSIBLE
If you can create the scenario where peace and fulfilment of humankind’s
potential exists, there obviously must be a path to achieve it. Although there is
no a magic formula to achieve it but there are factors and variables that allow it to
happen. Many organizations, such as UNESCO, work with structured processes
for the good of humankind and these philosophies are focused on changing
culture and behaviours to achieve peace scenarios. Clearly, today's world is
crying out for revolution to transform the world and create sustainability for
a prosperous future.
Now, AIESEC is par excellence an organization with the necessary components
to contribute every day to achieve this scenario. The important thing is to know
that our vision is possible because I'm sure the way we do it is an effective
route that generates a tangible impact to achieve this great purpose.
A family, a society, a global community, all of these have behaviors that depend
on the interaction of people, all different, and this interaction is uncertain and
constantly changing due to the human nature. These differences between all
individuals means that there is naturally a constant conflict between different
ways of thinking, notions of life and interests that lead us to make
decisions to resolve conflicts, either through war or through mediation and
effective win-win negotiations.
The decisions made by the Colombian families, organizations and government
depend on people leading each of these dimensions of society and in so far as
AIESEC impacts more lives, it models behaviours and values skills that are
necessary to solve the troubles in an equitable and fair way anywhere in the
world.
It’s easy to say but the challenge is to have the determination to achieve it.
Today, we are in a society that needs a more relevant, more professional and
more massive AIESEC to effectively plant our values and skills in the youth of
our country; to provide innovative solutions to our allies, partners, government
and other organizations that have absence of leadership; to get places where
people do not know how to talk to someone from another country; to capitalize on
our cultural qualities to impact the world. In this way we will be able to achieve
peace and fulfilment of humankind’s potential.
PURPOSE IN LIFE
There are several events in my life that have made me think about the purpose of my
life, my calling and what I want to accomplish. Every day I think a lot of people suffering
and bitterness that invades them for any reason, I also think of how to avoid such
situations. I believe in personal freedom and fullness of each regardless of their beliefs,
thoughts or features. Life has taught me, through various events, great lessons that I
present in every action that I perform and I'm proud of that. Today, I realize that the time
wasted can not be recovered, that material pains and sufferings are to overcome by the
love of family and friends, every day you have to learn something new because the
world is full of infinite knowledge, if you can dream it, you can achieve it; that nobility is
not synonymous with weakness but respect for others. Here are some things that make
me realize that the purpose of life is to improve the world around us every day and take
advantage of every opportunity that is presented to the living, giving 100% in it. For me,
the purpose of life is to leave a legacy, not for recognition, but for the meaning to be
helpful at every opportunity that life gives us, otherwise you are already condemned to
death anyway. Living in this way, working for peace and fulfillment of humankind's
potential is fully lined with my life mission. AIESEC is one of those facts that have
created my concept of life, through the people who are impacted every day by every
experience, we are leaving a legacy for the good of humanity.

1.MCVP Finance & Management AIESEC in Colombia has had a change that we needed in terms of finance but the network still retains bad practices that need to be
corrected through education and culture change of the way we the
processes.
Educational skills and emotional intelligence:
I am a person who believes in the creation of a culture of continuous improvement through education, also it’s necessary to focus on a culture of excellence to manage the risks that are costly to our network. As an academic monitor of Economics and Mathematics for 3 semesters I developed skills in education for youth and during my experience in AIESEC as educational coach in the NFT I interacted with the network and shared knowledge in a process of co creation.
Innovative thinking:
We need to replicate the good processes and improve where we have errors. About my professional experience, I worked in SMEs and know the dynamics of organizations that are in constant construction and change.
Also, my internship in CEMEX has given me knowledge of how big multinationals operate. Within the Direction of Innovation I worked structuring 12 ideas to improve processes through the CANVAS method. I've also worked in structured databases to obtain clear information on the fixed assets of the company and I have learned how daily sales reports are generated and the relation with finance and planning processes.
Strategic and sustainable thinking skills:
As Finance & Management Vice President in a local entity, I managed our obligations with MC and foreign creditors taking risky decisions in a pessimistic scenario where our local reality had contingencies that caused constant illiquidity and low portfolio turnover. Strategies such as savings fund for membership and prompt payment discounts were created to increase the number of IXPs and leverage OGX. As OC of Zonalito and TPS conferences I develop sustainable conference without sacrificing quality.
Also, my college has an emphasis on organizational strategy which has given me tools to achieve goals.
Manager formation:
As an Administration student, I have knowledge in different disciplines such as economics, finance, accounting, strategic planning, marketing, quality management, leadership and business law. This is important for lead multifunctional teams and generates solutions focused on our products, processes and different stakeholders.
2. MCVP BD or BD Director BD is one of the answers for a more relevant and professional AIESEC. Their results are a credible argument for any of our
stakeholders.
Project management:
As a student of management I have knowledge of project generation and evaluation. Also, I had the experience of being OCVP Finance in AIESEC. I planned the development of two conferences and contemplating scenarios for decision making in order to provide quality conference. Also, as VP Finance I followed IGIP and Alumni events that focused on building effective relationships to generate new accounts for next year.
Sales skills:
During my professional experience I was a salesman in a Colombian company producing exclusive clothes and accessories. During this experience helped to increase annual sales effectively persuading customers who came to the outlets.
Good relations and results:
During my experience in AIESEC and in general during my life I have managed good relationships. Working on the student council had weekly meetings with the deanship solving discipline problems. I advocated for the rights and duties of students effectively, also presented proposals to the rectory of structural changes in the faculty that still work today.
Negotiation skills:
All my education in international business has been focused on strategies for maximizing the benefits between the parties. AIESEC is a provider of many solutions that create value for the different organizations and is important to identify the needs of each organizations to create sustainable and lasting partnerships.
Finance background:
To generate effective BD projects is necessary to ensure sustainability and budget compliance. My experience in AIESEC revolves around finances and the importance of each business process within the organizational sustainability and compliance goals.
Universities are the answer! Universities as a center of opportunity:
•Universities are a star customer of AIESEC. As a business, universities besides its educational processes also have administrative processes that can improve and especially the improvement of the technological infrastructure where the supply of ITs and MTs can be adapted to solve these problems.
•This is the year of the universities. We need innovate finding new ways to deliver our impact according to universities needs.
Centers of entrepreneurship:
•The Universities of the country are developing entrepreneurship centers for the structuring and management of innovative ideas in all sectors of the economy and scientific development .
•AIESEC as school leadership can generate synergies in these universities and above all build iGIP projects of improvement or creation where none exists.
Research Centers:
•All the universities are measured globally in terms of research and technological development. Its and TTs highly competitive profiles are striking to invest in them and improve investigation rates in Colombian universities and other organizations.
•Alliance with Colciencias for the development of strategic research projects in real sector
Every LC should have this priority. A provider of
comprehensive services for universities and IGIP
should be a strategic project in each university.
Most competitive universities promote AIESEC to
replicate these processes. Now we have the potential
to reach 190 universities . With 100% efficiency and
generating at least 2 GIPs by university, we would be
very close to the target.
Education, standardization of processes and
monitoring are necessary to achieve this. Also we
should search certifications that guarantee our
products and generate credibility.
Strategic alliances Strategic projects:
To improve the competitiveness of the country with government agencies and other associations: Working hand in hand with entrepreneurship centers of the chambers of commerce in the major cities of the country to reach SMEs who want to improve processes and investors who want to develop new projects.
Strengthening of PYMEs business
• Entities such as the ministry of commerce, industry and tourism, OBAPYME, ACOPI and MIPYME portal managed strategic projects where specialized professionals are needed to improve business development and foreign trade.
In addition, we have high performing
entities that are able to handle a
coordinated strategic projects focused on
the economic development of the regions
and competitiveness.
We have great cases of success in AIESEC Colombia and the leaders of these projects are a key tool to educate entities of IGIP lower performance. Integrals coach visits to LCs through the NST and aligned with national education cycle .
Strengthening the synergy between IGIP, F&M and BD. To be clear about the timeline of administrative processes.
Detailed national tracking tool focused in legal and quallity issues
OS effectiveness to manage the global supply of TNs
TM synergy and Regional Director support implementing iGIP strategies
B2B: effective Marketing support.
Market segment:
•Universities
•Small and Medium Enterprises (PYME’s)
•Exporting Companies
•Research and Development Organizations focused on country competitiveness

Review of the national minimum
• National minimum generate a gap between the entity that achieve it and the entity that exceeds expectations with high performance. Also the network needs performance standards through a clear growth path to achieve.
• On the other hand, LCPs meeting should have greater intensity to unify strategies through virtual meetings or executive communications including customer and sustainability issues. Three months is a very long period for EBs to show results and too late to correct errors in some cases.
Network clustering system:
• Not only must include the number of exchanges but the maturity of intern processes (specially in backoffice) through clear KPIs (BSC implementation at local level) in terms of customers and sustainability.
Executive reports :
• Standard reports in each LC area must submit a direct impact on the overall goal and be consistent with the BSC of AIESEC in Colombia. To make strategic decisions these reports should be generated with greater intensity, weekly or fortnightly. Furthermore, the performance of each leader should be evaluated in coordination of LCP and the respective MCVP to make the necessary changes at the right time.
Winning together culture is
synonymous with
professionalism. AIESEC
needs to be more
professional in its processes
so that the quality of our
products is the same
anywhere in the country and
evolve at the same rate as
the market.
