Dentist Office

4,500 sf Interior Build Out

Project Description

Technology in the dentist office was

a major focus in the creation of the

space. Each exam space is designed

with a shared digital x-ray machine.

Flat-screen monitors are provided at

each dental chair, which allows patients

to watch DVDs during their visit. It

also provides an opportunity for the

dentist to review x-rays and records

with patients on the monitor. Along

with cutting edge technology, one of

the key design issues was to provide a

space that would allow patients to feel

at home, as if they were sitting in their

own living room. The gas fireplace and

plasma TV create a warm, cozy feeling,

immediately upon entering the space.

Two Building Office Complex

7,200 and 3,600 sf

New Construction

Project Description

The design of this 2 building complex

focused on creating a transition be-

tween the existing commercial office

buildings across the street, and the es-

tablished residential neighborhood be-

hind the property. Scale of the build-

ings, roof lines, and landscaping were

all instrumental in creating a project

that Carmel officials found pleasing.

Zoning requirements stipulated that

the building to be placed close to the

street, and all parking had to be to the

side. This enhanced the residential na-

ture of the area, and allowed for the

buildings to be the feature element,

rather than a field of asphalt.

resulted in Curran Architecture also

developing the designs for the Green-
