1. Installation

Step 1

Check Permissions.

Make sure the ''app'' , ”skin” and “media” directories of your Magento and all directories inside

it have full written permissions or set permissions on the each directory equal to 777 or 0777.

Important! Change all permissions back after installation.

Step 2

Disable Compilation.

Log into Magento Admin Panel and go to System → Tools → Compilation and disable the

compilation.

After step 5 you can run the compilation process again.

Step 3

Upload Files.

Upload all folders from the extension package to the installation directory of your Magento

software using FTP client.

Step 4

Clear Cache. Go to System → Cache Management.

Clear the store cache.

Step 5

Re-login. Log out and log back into Magento Admin Panel.

Step 6

Use Extension. Go to System → Configuration.

In the left column you will see the new tab – Biztech Extensions

2. Installation (Custom Theme)

Please do the next steps after the Installation:

Step 1

Copy layout and template folders from

app/design/frontend/default/default folder to

app/design/frontend/your_package/your_theme folder

Step 2

Copy skin folder from

skin/frontend/default/default/christmasfestive to

skin/frontend/your_package/your_package/christmasfestive

Step 3

Copy media folder from

media /christmasfestive to

media /christmasfestive

3. Configuration

Please follow the below steps to enable Christmas Holiday Season Effects.

Go to system->configuration. In the left column you will see the tab Biztech Extensions ->

Christmas Holiday Season Effects.

General Configurations:

Enabled: Select “Yes” to enable Christmas Holiday Season Effects Extension. This

extension is disabled by default. Snow Flakes Configurations:

Snowflakes Count: Shows count of snowflakes to show on website.

Snowflakes Colors: Shows color of snowflakes to show on website. One can add

html codes, as well as name of colors to have them working.

Snowflakes Design: Unicode characters can be shown on website, as well as one

can add text to show on website.

Snowflakes speed: Based on speed configuration it will be reflected on website.

Minimum flake size: Defines minimum size of snowflake

Maximum flake size: Defines Maximum size of snowflake

Decorative Images Configurations:

Enable Decorative Image: If enabled as “Yes” default header, footer and Santa Claus image will be displayed on store. User can upload their custom image as well.

Footer Image: User can add their custom footer image for decoration. This image will be replaced by default tree image.

Moving Santa Claus: User can add their custom Santa Claus image. This image will be replaced by default Santa Claus image.

Header Image: User can add their custom header image for decoration. This image will be replaced by default light image.

Move Santa Clause Random: If selected “Yes” Santa Claus will move randomly on page if selected “NO “Santa Claus will move on page from left to right only.

Background Images Configurations:

Enable Background Image: If selected as “yes” extension default background image will be replaced by your website background image.

Background Image: User can upload their custom background image, if none image will be uploaded custom image will be displayed.

4. Quick Notes

Configuration

Santa will move from left to right so upload image accordingly. Extension will work for Magento default theme, for custom theme this will need

customization. To have snowflakes work, you will need to configure all the details of snowflakes.

All Set! Now, you are ready to use extension.
