Experiments to test the value proposition

We created prototypes of our sandwiches and offered it to customers to taste and give us feed back as to what can be added or changed.

Showed a sample of a low fidelity mobile application that will be used to order food.

Talked with potential customers asking them selected questions from our questionnaires.

Our pass/fail signal constitutes of a tally of yes/no responses where yes indicates positive feedback and no negative feedback.

Insights from customers

We can conclude from our experiments and questionnaires that: Customers aren’t aware of the importance of having a healthy meal, as they should be. They are faced with the issue of costly meals, that are unreasonably priced. They are unpleased with the level of customer service. In addition, they are opting for faster service and are intrigued by the introduction of the mobile application to order food.

Hypothesis – Here’s what we thought

We would establish a healthy food outlet that sells sandwiches between the cost of $20-%30.

To target average income makers. To offer great customer serviceA wider variety to consumers which similar

outlets such as Subway and Boomers do not offer.

To introduce a mobile application that customers can use to place orders in advance and also learn about our services.

Experiments – So here’s what we did

Created samples of our sandwiches and offered it to customers to taste.

-Tantalized by the fresh ingredients

and learning it was all locally

produced -Size of the

sandwich should be big and easy to

eat - Plenty meat - Soft healthy

bread - Option to add

their own dressings

Talked with potential customers asking them the

following questions: Are you satisfied with Subway or Boomers?

Are you interested in a change?

What issues do you face now?

Which of the issues that you face are important to you?

Do you believe that opening a Sandwich outlet with the said advantages will be beneficial to you?

Will you be willing to purchase from us using a mobile app?

Do you see these as benefits price, healthy, fast serviceOrdering through a mobile app, customer service ?

Results – Here’s what we found

Customers are not satisfied with the present sandwich industry and are willing to make a change.

Customers are mainly faced with the issue of poor customer service, high prices, and timeliness .

Majority agreed that our benefits are great, most selected price and taste as there major benefit.

Everyone agreed that opening a sandwich outlet, will be beneficial .

Those who owned a phone loved the idea of ordering via their mobile.

Iteration – What minor changes?

Based on our results we see that our hypothesis have mainly been proven correct. However, not everyone is health conscious and it doesn’t seem as important as the price and taste.
