DESCRIPTION
Blue Trading has been focused in the collection of used empty inkjet and toner printer cartridges, providing an environmentally and responsible way of recycling. Since our inception in 2006, we have continued to grow our collection programs in Florida, buying and selling throughout the United States. We operate from our 20,000 square foot facility in Medley, Florida (Miami) where we inspect over 50,000 cartridges per month. We tailored our warehouse layout so we can handle high volumes of cartridges efficiently. Our full time inspection team is trained to follow a strict inspection process using customized systems and applications, in order to offer the best possible results for our business partners. Customers can rely on a high quality empty cartridge and vendors can count on very competitive pricing and getting paid on time. Our collection programs work with schools, companies and nonprofit organizations to help generate funds by collecting to recycle used cell phones, used empty inkjet and toner cartridges. All items collected are tested, evaluated and qualified for the program. We implement zero landfill practices to help the environment by reducing the amount of non-biodegradable waste into the landfills while providing an income generating and environmentally accountable recycling solution for our community.

Downstream PartnersSince November 2012,
we are using a new Recycling Partner
to improve our downstream and End of Life Solutions of decommissioned
printer cartridges.
Improvements from BT• More efficient Workflow • New inspection software system• Real time data entry• Close the Loop (downstream)
→ Result:• Inspect more in less time • Quicker turn around • Avoid human error• Faster payment for Business Partners
Issues we detected• Boxes come comingled with mixed cartridges• Toner Dust Contamination• Exposure to heat or high humidity levels• Broken, crushed cartridges• Received E-Waste on several occasions
→ This leads to• Slows down inspection • High fall out rates• Lower ROI• Lower turn around time
Simple Solutions:• Separate Toner & Inkjets, Surplus and cell phones• Not throwing, but placing in Gaylords• Layer of cardboard in between toners when possible• Limiting outdoor exposure• Placing lids or cover box openings• Surplus should be palletized separately • Avoid toner dust contamination
→This will lead to:• Higher recovery ratio• Quicker turn around time• Higher ROI• Faster Inspection time• Improved Pricing
Additionals1. Payments: Current payment method is CC,
suggestion is to pay by check (save money in CC Fees). What is your preferred method of payment?
2. Shipments: We are only picking up from Tampa, is there other locations?
3. Ideal situation would be to maintain a constant flow of payments and pick ups
