Seismic  Data  Library  :  an  Example  of  Entrepreneurship  

Seismic  Data  Library  (2004)  

§  In  2004,  Gaia  finished  implemen?ng  the  CPD  to  deal  with  seismic  data  collected  within  Brazilian  jurisdic?onal  waters.    At  that  ?me,  it  was  the  largest  in  the  Southern  Hemisphere    and  ranked  37th  in  the  world,    according  to  Top  500  Super  Computer  Sites.  

§  In  2010,  the  CPD  had  some  6000  CPUs  opera?ng  in  parallel,  with  a  storage  capacity  greater  than  1  Petabyte.    

§  The  total  number  of  CPUs  shall  be  doubled  by  2012.

Heatric’s  Heat  Exchanger:  Technological  Innova[on  

Compact  Heat  Exchanger  (2009)  §  Gaia   introduced   Brazil   to   a   revolu?onary   concept   of   compact   heat   exchangers,   built   with   printed   circuit  technology.  

§  This   type   of   equipment   is   7   ?mes   lighter   than   the   one   produced  with   the   “hull   and   tube”   heat   exchangers,  reducing  the  space  required  on  the  pla@orm  by  5  ?mes.    

§  It  is  also  able  to  withstand  high  pressures  (up  to  9000  psi)  and  high  temperatures  (up  to  900°C).  

§  Heatric’s  heat  exchanger  was  officially  adopted  by  Petrobras  on  the  following  pla@orms:  P-­‐55,  P-­‐58,  P-­‐59,  P-­‐62,  P-­‐63  and  on  Pre-­‐Salt  FPSOs.

Drillmec  Automated  Drilling  Rig:  Technological  Innova[on  and  Na[onaliza[on  

§  Due  to  their  automated  process,   they  demand   less  personnel  and  dras?cally  reduce  the  risk  of  accidents.  

§  They   require   less   space   than   regular   rigs,   thus   reducing  environmental  impact.  

§  Their   assembly   and   dismantling   ?mes   are   much   lower   than  conven?onal  rigs.    

§  Greater  drilling  speed.    

§  Reduced  cost  per  well,  compared  to  regular  rigs.  

§  Drillmec   is   about   to   celebrate   a   partnership   with   a   Brazilian  manufacturer    to  produce  rigs  with  high  local  content.

§  The   founder   and   current   CEO   of   Horton   Wison   Deepwater,   Ed   Horton   is   one   of   the   most   renowned   and  respected     inventors   in   the  naval  and  offshore  area.  Amongst   the  numerous  patents  produced  by  Ed  Horton,  one  can  highlight  Spars  and  Tension  Leg  Pla@orms  (TLP).  

§  In  the  past  30  years,  over  2  billion  barrels  of  oil  have  been  produced  aboard  floa?ng  systems  based  on  patents  produced  by  Ed  Horton.

An average of 10 thou people comment on Basketeria, with an outreach of 130 thousand. Twitter Basketeria currently counts some 2,600 followers and is also a significant source of access to the portal.

In December 2011, Garra partnered with Rousimar “Toquinho” Palhares. The agency’s first action was to promote ROUSIMAR “TOQUINHO” PALHARES’ fight in the UFC 142, the 2nd edition of UFC Rio. The marketing and communication campaign included creation of an individual brand for the fighter, an official website, social media actions and press agency. Today, Toquinho is the main name at the Brazilian Top Team (BTT) and is rapidly increasing his chances for a title fight in the middleweight class.

OPPORTUNITIES The Rousimar Toquinho Palhares brand offers many sponsorship opportunities in UFC editions, sports events, social projects, in addition to creation of licensed products.

During its first season in Brazil, following 15 successful seasons in the US.

The show was comprised of 2 teams led by idols and rivals :

The purpose of the show was to reach the Finals in the

Featherweight and Middleweight divisions.
