The Mercedes-Benz M-Class

The Mercedes-Benz M-Class

Used-carsThe Mercedes M-Class was one of the first premium SUV models available on the market. Now in its third generation, the latest M-Class is the biggest and most re-fined yet, while the recent addition of a four-cylinder diesel version makes it one of the most affordable to run.Unlike its sporty BMW and Porsche rivals, the Mercedes has been designed with comfort and refinement in mind. As a result, wind and road noise are well suppressed, while the interior is one of the biggest in the business - although there's no seven-seat option. The engine line-up includes a pair of punchy and frugal diesels, plus a muscular twin turbo 5.5-litre V8 for the fire-breathing ML63 AMG version.

New for 2014

Few changes are evident on M-Class for 2014 the exception is the SplitView centre dashboard screen which is now available as a special-order optionThe SplitView screen allows the driver as well as the front passenger to see different images. For example, the driver could view navigation information while the passenger can watch a DVD movie.

Comments from International WebsitesIf sporty performance is a top priority, the 2014 Porsche Cayenne is a breed apart, while the 2014 Acura MDX and Lexus RX 350 are also quite appealing, and less expensive to boot. But for those who prefer to cruise in dignified comfort, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz M-Class is bound to satisfy, as long as you don't need a third row. --Edmunds"While the 2014 Mercedes-Benz M-Class certainly has appeal as a rolling status symbol, in truth there is so much more to the M than just the iconic 3-pointed star on the hood. With a robust lineup, including diesel power and a high-performance AMG model, the M-Class demonstrates an ability to be all things to all customers." --Kelley Blue Book"The M-Class has long epitomized the midsize luxury SUV segment, but the competition is always working hard to catch up. With the 2014 Mercedes-Benz M-Class on the scene, those competitors must once again bring strong contenders to stand a chance at matching this SUV's strengths. --AutoTrader"The Mercedes-Benz M-Class is very refined, solidly built, and pleasant to drive. High points include the comfortable, well-finished interior and excellent powertrains. Think of the ML63 AMG as a suede- and leather-lined cruise missile. It commands a significant price premium, but it is arguably the most well rounded high-power luxury SUV on the market with its admirable blend of performance, comfort, and refinement." --Consumer Guide(2013)
