New Delhi, August 4, 2015: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles India today unveiled its much awaited iconic Italian brand, FIAT Abarth 595 Competizione, at the Buddh International Circuit in New Delhi. The iconic Abarth 595 Competizione is designed to get your pulses racing and hearts pounding and will undoubtedly be a new trendsetter amongst car enthusiasts in India.

FCA India also showcased the all new Punto Abarth which has a 1.4 litre four-cylinder turbocharged T-Jet engine, making it the hottest hatch in the country.

Speaking on the launch, Kevin Flynn, President and Managing Director, FCA India Automobiles Pvt. He further added, “Additionally we will also bring in another performance oriented hatchback in the Abarth range by introducing India’s first hot hatch Punto Abarth which is locally made. Inspirational and classy exteriors The 595 Competizione is a 3-door hatchback powered with a 1.4 L T-Jet engine producing 160 PS of power, taking the car from 0-100 in just 7.6 seconds which makes it furiously fast and fun to drive. The maximum torque generated is 230 Nm@2750 – 3000 RPM with the top speed estimated to be around 210 kmph. Low ground clearance provides good traction and control for manoeuvring at high speeds with confident driving. The 595 Competizione features large 17 inch alloy wheels to ensure it remains gripped to the road and cut corners with ease.

The exterior designing is inspired from the Fiat 500 Cinquecento. The exterior body is made up of steel and it is a forward wheel drive car. The Abarth 595 Competizione comes

with the well acclaimed perforated and ventilated brake discs which considerably improves the car’s reactivity while stopping. The advanced aerodynamics provided makes driving the 595 Competizione more easy and interesting. Additionally, on the features list, the Abarth 595 Competizione is provided with a world class infotainment system, Xenon headlamps, rear parking sensors and Monza exhaust systems taking the overall excitement to another level altogether.

Plush Interiors The interiors of the car is refreshingly different with a mix of the retro and the modern. The colour scheme used in the interiors is unique ensuring attention at first sight. The steering wheel is small, leather wrapped with multifunction buttons cladded on it making it practical and user friendly. The bright round dials behind the steering favours sportiness and aggressiveness without compromise. The 595 launched in India comprises AMT transmission with paddle shifts mounted on the steering wheel. It features well contoured

hand stitched leather seats, promising comfort and agility at high speeds. Equipped with two driving modes, normal and sport, the car delivers an enhanced driving experience.
