aesthetically pleasing and it makes it look

more modern and designer.

goes across ¾ of the page this

is because there are way to

many where the title goes

across the whole page and this

magazine is new and I want it

to be unique, it also look like a

paint splatter, this gives it a 1

off feeling and makes it suit the

magazine style of rock more

than a plain circle would, it also

is a big draw in for people

because paint splatters seem

to be popular when I comes to

design

The page has also been branded because if your just reading a magazine from a

pile and you find an article you like but don’t have time to read or want to buy the

magazine its an easy way for people to recognise your work

The title on this cover page is bold and thick, but its white instead of black which stands

out more, but its embossed and lined with black, which makes it easy to see on any

background colour and its crossed over 2 different colours, which makes it stand out a lot

because of the colour change.

The colours on the plug and on the information bar at the bottom use contrasting

colours to there, easy to see and because they are contrasting colours the stand out

more than any thing else, including surrounding magazines, mainly the bottom bar

because its got black on yellow you can read the text from a distance easy. This allows

the people to see what's in this issue of this magazine before spotting any other

magazine

As you can see compared to my front

cover this one is very dull and has

almost no vibrant colour to draw

people in, with no colours to draw you

in the magazine look plain and

boring, though the kickers are striking

and stick out more than anything else

The double page feature image is a photo of a family members

band, and the reason I went for a gradient in the background is

the fact the bar is white and text is black why not go for

something's that is in between both of them. The black to white

gradient, works because it blends into every thing else in the

picture instead of just the image its self. Also because it’s a

fade from black at the bottom to white at the top it looks like

there shadows are creating the gradient on a wall, while at the

same time it looks like the bright white could be the sun

making the light

You can see that the

background and the title is

very separate, although it

mages the title easier to see I

think that blending

the two areas together make

the magazine look better and

when up close is easy to

read
