Cosmopolitan • The model is placed at the bottom of the

page and takes up half of the space to stand out. By the text surrounding instead of overlapping her it makes the layout look more flat and simple.

• The text is in a small italic text that varies from pink to black to suit the colour scheme. This could target the magazine at females by using stereotypical feminine colours.

• The use of a bold letter makes the page more creative and to follow the conventions of a magazine article.

• The magazine also includes the issue and page number at the bottom left of the page in small font for the reader as its still necessary information.

Q• Q magazine sticks to the same style for

each double page spread by using the first letter of the artists name as a large red transparent background. This keeps there style appealing to the audience.

• The image takes up one side of the pages making it bold and visually appealing to the reader. The text is then set out in a organized full page article because of the large image. This making the magazines layout plain and effective.

• The black and white image makes the coloured letter stand out by contrasting it and sticking to the colour scheme (red, white, black).

• The font is small and in italic to fit all the information onto a page. However it includes a bold letter at the start of paragraph's, making it more visually appealing.

NME• The double page spread sticks to a colour

scheme of red, whit and black. This linking to the artist and connoting danger through the images/text.

• The title is is bold red text along the pages however uses a transparent effect to show the images behind. The text taking up half the age makes the artists name stand out and the page then looks more creative.

• The text is is a red and grey font to contrast the white text box background to stand out so its easily visible to readers.

• The image of the artists is placed in the center over to pages to be the main focus to the reader.

• The image is very urban and dark making it link with the artists music style.
