Every Fusion starts with an independent double-wishbone suspension up front and a multilink twist-blade setup in back. Fusion Sport has enhanced road-grabbing skills thanks to its modified performance-tuned suspension. When you combine the traction control feature of the standard AdvanceTrac® ESC (electronic stability control) with available intelligent all-wheel drive (AWD), Fusion can actually help get you moving even if only one wheel has traction.

You can pair the standard 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with the 6-speed manual transmission for a spirited drive. Or get up to 6.0L/100 km (47 mpg) hwy.1 with the 4-cylinder and a smooth-shifting available 6-speed automatic. If you prefer to keep your refuelling options open, the available 240-hp 3.0L V6 flex fuel engine runs on E85, gasoline or any blend of the two. For maximum intensity: the 3.5L V6 — exclusive to Fusion Sport — kicks out 263 horsepower and 249 lb.-ft. of torque. Both V6s are mated to our 6-speed SelectShift Automatic,® so you can fly through the gears yourself, or leave the fun to Fusion.

Fusion Hybrid operates at speeds of up to 76 km/h in pure electric mode to help deliver up to 4.6L/100 km (61 mpg) city1 – over 1,200 city km on a single tank.2 It also utilizes a 2.5L 4-cylinder Atkinson-cycle engine to help deliver as much as 191 net horsepower. And regenerative braking helps keep its battery pack charged along the way.
