• In terms of editing , I have learnt to properly work and use Final Cut Pro while editing my music video .

• In my AS year , I was new to Final Cut Pro , so I was very unfamiliar with how to place our shots in our timeline and even beginning to edit .

However , as I will begin to discuss I have improved especially over this A2 year of media in editing and I am now very comfortable with using Final Cut Pro

Skills learnt

• In terms of editing I have learnt :

• To import files or audio to Final Cut Pro

• Being able to cut clips to sizes preferably to me , then being able to drag these to the timeline

• Also in terms of using Markers to mark the beat of the song on the time frame , which I used to follow the beat of the song as well as a guide line of jump cuts.

Here is an example from our Lip Sync Tutorial of importing medias , which comes up on Final Cut Pro .

Here you can see the read marks on the timeframe . Which indicate me marking the beat .

Below you can also see the base tracks which has been imported, cut and place to the beat of song .

In My Music Video .

In my music video , I carried on my skills that I learnt through the lip sync tutorial . For example , here you can see all my base tracks on my timeline , cut up which is done with the blade tool and placed in my prefers , lining up to the red markers , which in my chosen song is every 4 beats for the majority of the song .

Other skills I have learnt

• How to place filters and video transitions on my music video

• Adjust these filters to how much or little I want them to show up .

• Play my music video in slow motion by pressing K and then L on the keyboard , this helping me see if I placed the shots in time for them to cut to the beat , which is marked by the red markers
