INDIE GENREThe colours used in an ‘Indie’ music magazine all include red, black and white.All of the artists used are dressed in tracksuits or casual clothing.They all have very blank facial expressions.They are shot in either a pub, studio or outside an unusual surrounding.The props used are very casual, like a drink or sunglasses etc.

POP GENREThe colours used in a ‘pop’ music magazine all pink, purple and blue.All of the artists used are dressed in dresses or a smart top and trousers with their hair done.They are all either smiling or pouting on the front cover.They are shot in a studio with a bright coloured background.The props used link to the singer/band or not always used.

CHOSEN GENRE

• I have decided that I will do a ‘rock’ genre magazine. • The research I have done has influenced my idea as I like that

it has a basic house colour scheme. • I think that I will be able to do a layout very similar to the

‘Rolling Stones’ magazine which did influence my decision.
