The first experiment was simply to black out the eyes to make it seem like the character is a mask. We thought this worked well but needed more elements or editing to make it more suitable for a Little White Lies cover.

The second has been edited more so that the image is paler to resemble a mask and also has blue tone so it fits with the film poster that we created. We also found a way to place the title on the cover. However this now looks too computerised and over edited for a Little White Lies cover.

In the third version we tried a different editing style on photoshop so that the block colour looks smooth. We also only blacked out one eye, on the paler side of the face, this gives the impression of half mask and half face. We also subtly put the title in the hair which fits with the conventions of a Little White Lies cover as they manage to put the title within the image.

The issue with this is that it looks like a computer edit and it looks graphic-y which is unlike and Little White Lies cover which typically looks realistic.

We decided to abandon the editing style we had already been working with and tried out some other techniques to make the image look edited but still realistic. We do not like this one as it does not keep with the brand identity of the film poster and teaser trailer.

For the most recent version we followed a step by step tutorial on how to make a photorealistic drawing on photoshop. We have not finished this version and are unsure as to whether we will like the outcome.
