This is the character Lorcan I made using pixels in photoshop for the final project. This is one of 3 motions I am using in the game. I used 2 shades of green for his border/edges and tried to use the pixels to show bend in his knees for his jumping motion.

This is the opening screen for the game I am making in Construct. I used the tools to create the background and imported in my characters designed in photoshop. This opening scene previews a similar background for the first level, however there are various changes to it.

This is the main character I designed in photoshop using pixels for my game. This is one of three motions I made to use as a running loop. I used two shades of brown to give him a border using the pixels and used his outline to show depth with his arms and legs.

This is the pot of gold that I will be using in my game as the reason for playing the game. I made this in photoshop using pixels, and used a gray border to outline the pot and add slight depth to the 2d piece.

This is the background I created in Construct for level 1 of my game. I used varying widths in paint brushes for the rainbow and learned how to take advantage of the tool that allows you to click on a color used on the screen and place it as the current color for the brush.

This is the background I created in Construct for the second level in my game. I was able to use the fill and paint brush tools and varying thicknesses to create the volcano and ground, which actually has two parts as to trigger an event if the character lands on the ground.

This is the background created in Construct for the third and most complex level of my game. I attempted to “cartoon/pixelize” a map of underground mines for the next hiding spot of the nemesis character in my game.

These are various sketches for possible levels of the game I created using Construct. Drawing out the levels and then attempting to insert them into the game led to multiple adjustments and tweaking. However the sketches provided a great starting point when going in to create the game in Construct.
