• Michelangelo Merisi (Michael Angelo Merigi or Amerighi) da Caravaggio was an Italian painter in Rome, Naples, Malta, and Sicily between 1592 and 1610. His paintings, which combine a realistic observation of the human state, both physical and emotional, with a dramatic use of lighting, had a formative influence on Baroque painting.

• To create dramatic lighting like Caravaggio we lit candles in a dark room to create dramatic contrast of light and dark.

• This was helpful as it helped me to see how we can interesting and ambient setting.

• Timothy "Tim" Walker (born 1970) is a British fashion photographer, who regularly shoots for Vogue, W Magazine and LOVE Magazine.• After graduating in 1994, Walker worked as

a freelance photography assistant in London before moving to New York City as a full time assistant to Richard Avedon. On returning to England, he initially concentrated on portrait and documentary work for UK newspapers. At the age of 25, he shot his first fashion story for Vogue.

• To copy Tim Walkers work we used lanterns to create a similar effect.• The lanterns kept turning off so we had to take the photos quickly

and this made them a bit shaky and didn’t turn out as well.• I think that this created an interesting contrast of shadows, light,

colour and darkness which I think we could play around with in our music video.
