For simplicity go with LogKeys

• Can be found here: https://code.google.com/p/logkeys/

• To install from source need to build installation itself

• Type following command to get essential building tools

$ sudo apt-get install build-essential

If you’ve ever installed any software from source before you can skip this step

This is not recommended, but…

1. Visit https://code.google.com/p/logkeys/

2. Download .tar.gz file and extract it

3. Open command line

4. Go into the folder you extracted your data in

5. Follow each command listed to the right…

Downloading with GUI

Each line is a separate command.

$ ./configure

$ make

$ sudo make install

$ sudo locale-gen

Find the right directory through the command line…

***Recommended Solution***

$ wget https://logkeys.googlecode.com/files/logkeys-0.1.1a.tar.gz

$ tar xvzf logkeys-0.1.1a.tar.gz$ cd logkeys-0.1.1a

$ ./configure$ make

$ sudo make install

the "logkeys-0.1.1a.tar.gz" is the latest version available

Just run the following command…

$ sudo apt-get install logkeys

There are reports of the apt-get package being broken, doing it from the sources (two methods above) is still the preferred method.
