    Listening Section

    In this section of the test, you will have the chance to show how well you

    understand spoken English. There are 3 parts to this section, with special

    directions for each part.

    Part 1

    Questions 1 to 5

    Directions:

    In this part of the test, you will hear some dialogues or questions spoken in English.

    The dialogues or questions will be spoken two times. They will not be printed in

    your test books, so you must listen carefully to understand what the speakers say.

    After your hear a dialogue and the question about it, read the four possible answers

    and decide which one would be the best answer to the question you have heard.

    Now listen to a sample question.

    You will hear:

    Man : Excuse me sir, what can I do for you?

    Woman : Oh, yes. Could you get me the other brown shoe on the second shelf,

    please? I want to try them both.

    Narrator : Who are talking?

    You will see the options on your answer sheet:

    a. A customer and a boss.

    b. A seller and a manager.

    c. A shopkeeper and a vendor.

    d. A shopkeeper and a customer.

    The best answer to the question is A shopkeeper and a customer.

    Nasreddin and the Pot

    One day Nasreddin borrowed a pot from his neighbor Ali. The next

    day he brought it back with another little pot inside. Ali said it was not

    his, but Nhen it was with him.

    Some time later Nasreddin asked Ali to lend him a pot again. Ali

    agreed, hoping that he would once again receive two pots in return.

    However, days passed and Nasreddin had still not returned the pot.

    Finally Ali lost patience and went to demand his property. Nasreddin

    said sorry because he couldnt return it. The pot was dead. Died!

    screamed Ali, how can a pot die? Well, said Nasreddin, you

    believed me when I told you that your pot had had a baby.

    ethically wrong. Concerning the latter, there have been two opposing

    sides of opinion.

    Some people say that letting other to cheat is ethically right. They

    say they need to help one another. If other people let us copy their

    works, then there is a good reason to give similar assist to them.

    Meanwhile, those oppose the practice mutual cheating regard the

    agree with letting other to cheat believe in helping themselves and

    common, and may have become a custom or habit, and even a

    serious problem in many classrooms as in many classes.
